THE NEXT CLEAN-UP EVENT

Clean-up on Brownsville Rd Saturday, June 28th and Sunday, June 29th.

Hello dedicated members of the Carrick Community. Volunteers needed!!!!!!!

I have had a very positive response from our community that we need and want a clean-up event this Saturday, before the 4th of July. This final decision is short notice, but we will have a two part event which will help make it easier for everyone to get involved. The Carrick Litter Patrol is hosting a morning and early evening litter Clean-up.  The Morning group will be in charge of picking up the litter on both sides of Brownsville Rd from the Carrick shopping center to Owendale Ave, past the Burger King, headed toward Brentwood.  The Evening group will do the same thing along Brownsville Rd from the Carrick shopping center to Foodland toward Mt. Oliver.

CARRICK LITTER PATROLs "MINI" CLEAN-UPs ARE THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 28TH AT 9 A.M. AND SUNDAY JUNE, 29TH AT 5 P.M. COME TO ONE COME TO BOTH.  WE NEED EVERYONE'S HELP!

The morning group will meet at 9 A. M. Saturday in the Carrick Shopping center in the back near Auntie Lisa's storage units. (where the farmers market is held)

The evening group will meet at 5 P. M. Sunday in the same place.

~ VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!! TO MAKE US LOOK LIKE A VOLUNTEER GROUP WHILE PICKING UP LITTER,
WE ASK THAT YOU WEAR A GREEN SHIRT.
IT CAN BE ANY KIND OF SHIRT AND ANY COLOR OF GREEN, JUST AS LONG AS WE LOOK LIKE A ORGANIZATION, WITH A PURPOSE.
WHICH IS WHAT WE ARE. PASSIONATE MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY COMMITTED TO MAKING IT A BETTER PLACE. THANKS, DAWN ~

Poison ivy on left        Virginia creeper on right (this is safe)

In the past our volunteers have found this size bag works the best and it is very easy to carry several of them with you.
When the bag is full, tie it off and either set it next to a city trash can or on a street corner.  The public works will pick up our trash.

The Carrick Litter Patrol will have gloves for those who need them.  But feel free to use your own if you have a better quality pair.

If you have any questions or suggestions please email me.  Or call, I'm really flexible.

Please let me know if you can make it and which time you plan to attend.  I need a head count.
Pass this info on to a friend.

Rainy day plans.  We will pick up litter if it's only a drizzle.  Call me if your unsure about the weather on the day.  412-819-0889 home  412-805-0881 cell
