Ever think something should be done about all the ugly litter in Carrick? Ever feel like nobody cares? You are NOT alone.
Carrick Litter Patrol (CLP) is a network of volunteers dedicated to the reduction of litter in their Neighborhood. The group’s approach is hands-on, but non-confontational. Network members give each other support, encourage others to join the cause, and provide the social rewards of community involvement.
In concert with the Carrick Community Council, the CLP promotes major clean up events twice a year. Additionally, smaller projects are undertaken as members see fit and motivate. Now underway is the Adopt-a-Block Custodian, or “ABC,” effort where individuals commit to spearhead anti-litter efforts on specific streets.
If want to do more than just talk about litter, or if you just need someone who cares to listen, register with CLP. You might get your hands dirty! You might meet your neighbors! You might make a friend! You will definitely make a difference!
